Bio: Jake Masbruch is a graphic designer/web developer/illustrator based in Minneapolis, MN. He is classically trained in the fundamentals of drawing and painting, and from there has delved into digital graphic design, illustration, and animation. Jake has worked for LEGO, High Moon Studios, Wizards of the Coast, White Wolf, and Fantasy Flight Games. His style ranges from a "Rembrandt-ish" painterly to cartoony a-la Samurai Jack. His biggest art influences include John Singer Sargent, James Whistler, Gustav Klimt, Alphonse Mucha, and Adolph Menzel. He has a particular affinity for character and environment design, and has applied his expertise in this field to the creation of a fantasy world inhabited by Fox/Kangaroo-like creatures called Freeps, who inhabit arboreal dwellings built in the middle of vast jungles and swamps.
