Khopt League

Khopt League is a weekly PvP competition that takes place on the PvP world Khoptid. Top 25 players with the most Khopts accumulated so far during the Tu (8 weeks) are rewarded at the end of each Tol (week). Khopts represent the relative performance of a player based on the results of games played with other players and also serve to match players of comparable performance level. All players start with 0 Khopts and they cannot lose any Khopts until they reach the 200 Khopt milestone. Khopts can never decrease below 200. At the beginning of each Tu, all players have their Khopts lowered to 60% (but not below 200).

Earning Khopts

Winning over an opponent with the same amount of Khopts earns 20 Khopts. Winning over an opponent with less Khopts lowers the Khopt reward by 4 for every 125 points of difference between the players (1 for 31.25 then). E.g. a player with 500 Khopts wins over an opponent with 250 Elo, the winner gains 12 Khopts and the loser loses 12 Khopts. If the winner was the 250 Khopt player, he/she would gain 28 Khopts and the loser would lose 28 Khopts.

The daily grind KHOPTIDIAN! earns a player 10 Khopts for playing 3 PvP games in a single day. It was designed to dissuade players from "camping" on their achieved amount of Khopts by rewarding regular play.

Matchmaking

2 distinct conditions have to be met for players to be matched together - they must both fall into each other's level range and their difference in Khopts must not be too high.

Khopts

Both players together search for opponents for less than 10 seconds: max Khopt difference is 100

Both players together search for opponents for less than 30 seconds: max Khopt difference is 200

Both players together search for opponents for less than 60 seconds: max Khopt difference is 300

Both players together search for opponents for more than 60 seconds: max Khopt difference is 500
